Mountainbike cross country
The mountain resort Åre (Å is pronounced like O in English) has got fantastic downhill biking, but also marvellous cross country trails with splendid views.
The “Skalstuge tour” is a historical trading trail between the Norwegian county Tröndelag and Swedish Jämtland. The most scenic 20km (13 Miles) of that old trail is where we go biking. It’s got old stone bridges, single and double tracks, uphill and downhill biking. You can bike this trail on a non-suspension bike all in granny gear, but we recommend you rent a bike at one of Åre’s bike shops or with us.
